What is an RCM
A Registered Condominium Manager is a designation given by the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO). Getting it requires passing a college program consisting of four courses, and then ACMOs own exam. Keeping the designation requires ongoing education every year. The four courses are:
- Condominium Law
- Condominium Finance
- Physical Building Maintenance
- Condominium Administration
Hiring an RCM is useful, but in our opinion a Board should also look at additional criteria when choosing a manager or management company.
